Hello everyone, and happy new year!

Tomorrow brings the end of one decade and ushers us into a new one. There are lots of parties and events to attend for many of us, and this is a great way to bring in any new year, especially one that ends such a confusing, hostile, and seemingly out-of-control 10 year period. During the last 10 years, our government seems to have lost their minds. De-regulation and lobbyist control of our government has allowed greed to flourish, leaving many tax payers in dire straights, financially. Not knowing if you will have a job from week to week, and month to month, is one of the most stressful situations many have ever found themselves in. Just because the majority of our legislators have obviously lost their way, does not mean that we must be lost with them. No, our leaders are not creating a great example and any business that wishes to flourish, should not adhere to the same business model set by our government, whether it be local, state or federal. They are however, through ignorance, greed and belligerance, setting the stage for a profound and quickly developing spiritual evolution. They have seemingly been given the task, during their present lives, to ruin the stable economy that we enjoyed in the past and to put so many people out of work that the surface of this country's infrastructure will never resemble what we once knew.

There is no better time to create the new, than when the old is being destroyed. The actions of the ignorant and greedy are creating this destruction. This creates a perfect situation for us to manifest, and create areas of safe haven, not only for ourselves, but for others. Take a few moments today and tomorrow to begin to manifest what you want and need, to enrich your spiritual path and purpose. The energy of the blue moon is upon us during this highly symbolic time of year. Put away all of the fear and anxiety that we have all had shoved in our faces over the past several years. We have come to the point where we must manifest and rely on beings in a different realm, and ourselves. We have seen what happens when greed and fear are in charge of creating our futures. Make sure that any manifestations you begin are not based on these two ignorant traits. Be a blessing and blessings will be returned.

I can not overemphasize the gift that we are being given, with this blue moon and the time that it is occurring. The full moon is always a great energetic time to create. The blue moon offers us the normal full moon energy, multiplied several times. I am viewing this blue moon as a gift, given to the awakened ones of the Universe, to be used in an effort to turn things around in a more positive direction. I do not think that there will be a huge awakening tonight or tomorrow, but the opportunity is there. I feel this energy is more geared to the ones of us who are awake, and ready to go out on our own and create what we feel will not be created unless we do it ourselves. Large changes always begin with a few people who believe.

We will be having a ceremony tonight. The ceremony will begin after dark. This ceremony's purpose will be to access the energies, create, manifest, build [redundant - - I know =) ], commune within the spiritual realms, and to make sure that we get it right. Sitting here with my morning cup of caffeine, with Shakiah laying beside me, and thinking about tonight, it almost seems as if Donna and I will begin a long trip in the morning.

My father is in Hawaii right now, and I know that he had been planning this trip for months. During the days leading to his departure I could see the anticipation and excitement of his finally going to Hawaii, and reaping the much needed relaxation, and seeing the natural wonders that await him there. I imagine that what I am feeling right now is similar to what he felt during the days leading to his driving to the airport. The only difference is that my anticipation has been building for decades. I will not be driving to the airport tomorrow. I will not have to pack any suitcases. I will not have to find a sitter for Shakiah and the cats. Tomorrow morning I will wake up and ask Donna to make one of her great pots of coffee (the coffe pot and I operate on different levels of understanding). I will probably go get us breakfast and come home and eat. Then, after checking my e-mails, we will begin clearing the clutter out of the house. Boxes that were never completely unpacked when we moved will either be unpacked or discarded. Clutter will be removed so that the energies that we manifest and access tonight will be able to flow freely. There will be nothing to dam the energies and hinder the manifestations that we begin tonight. Everything will be in it's place and ready.

Please take advantage of the energies available to us tonight and tomorrow. This one is special, both literally and symbolically. This being said, please have a wonderful, safe, and prosperous new year!

I am proud to announce that the hosting company, that I use for all of my web sites, has gone green! The servers that host this site, and others that I have built, are powered by 100% wind energy. I was in the process of finding another hosting company that uses natural power and presto! they made the change. Steps like this are very important in preserving our resources; and repairing all of the harm humanity has done to our wonderful planet. I sincerely hope that more companies follow the progressive steps that my hosting company has taken.

The Medicine Wheel has been constructed, as has the new Sweat Lodge. These are two very important elements of the "spiritual area" here at our home.

The date for the Spring Sweat Lodge has been set for March 20, 2010. It will begin at 10:00 A.M. and will last into mid-afternoon.

From the caption provided on the site, "This one was in the mountains of Colorado at Herring Park, in San Isabel National Forest." The new Lodge provides much more room than our past Lodges, which should make the time inside more physically comfortable. This Lodge is located in the north-west quadrant of the Medicine Wheel, which will create energy charged experiences for the goals on which you wish to focus while participating.

I have mentioned to some of you that we were considering expanding into the area of paranormal investigation. I was jolted into the realization last month, that now is the time to do so. I will not call this area of SLP, Ghost Hunters, due to the negativity contained in that phrase. Instead, we will be Spirit Seekers. I am in the process of buying the hardware and software that I need to copy and resize video on my computer. We also have an image up from the 2006 Winter Sweat Lodge DVD posted in the Spirit Seekers page. Something appeared during that Lodge which is one of the things we want to bring to the public. Photos from viewers are starting to come in and I have posted one that is pretty interesting.

Spiritual Seekers will initially be funded by the sale of items in our shopping cart. Rune sets, smudge fans, dream catchers, various waters, oils, journals, candles, rattles, and shields will fund this endeavor, and also help to add to the spiritual area of our property where workshops and ceremonies are held. If you have any gift needs that we can help you fill, please let us know. Gift certificates are available for sessions or any other service that Donna or I offer.

Even though we do have set prices for the items we make, the charge for my sessions are by donation only. Whatever is comfortable for you. Healing and expanding spiritually should not break the bank.

I am beginning the outline phase of my second book. I have been pondering this endeavor for months, and have recently began to write down the topic lines that the book will contain. Writing a book, when you have so many other things going on, is a bit challenging; but I am looking forward to this task in hopes that it will have some positive effect on society and the lives of many people.

The calendar area of the site is up to date for the month of January, 2010.
